Five Reasons Why Brunch at Woodbines is The Indisputable King of Meals

To say we love brunch at Woodbines would be a massive understatement.  We live for it.  Breakfast food for lunch, alcohol for breakfast, what’s not to like?  Our brunch happens every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4PM.  That means whether you’re a get-up-with-the-sun kind of person, or a not-leaving-the-house-until-2PM kind of person, you can still have French Toast.  We cater to everyone; we’ve got a full gluten free brunch menu available as well as a kids’ menu for the little ones.  Find us at 47-10 Vernon Boulevard, just three short blocks from the 7 train at the Vernon Jackson stop!

1. Booze

We all know brunch is basically just an excuse to get drunk at breakfast and then take a nap.  With brunch at Woodbines you can get your first Bloody Mary or Mimosa for $6 and all refills for only $3!  Our Bloody Marys are made fresh in-house to a specific recipe, so you know it’ll be the same mason jar full of deliciousness every week.

2. Syrup

Let’s face it, syrup is the best condiment but somehow it’s weird if you use it like ketchup.  At Woodbines we have amazing French Toast on our brunch menu.  It’s made from Challah bread, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and served with fresh fruit.  And, to top it all of, a side of maple bacon syrup.  You’ll also frequently find waffles on the specials menu.

3. Music

At Woodbines we feel that brunch is the perfect time for a little nostalgia.  That’s why you’ll always hear some crowd-pleasing throwbacks from the '80s and '90s on weekend mornings to get you going.

4. Eggs!

Put an egg on pretty much anything and it can serve as breakfast. At Woodbines, we’ve really taken this to heart. We’ve got a delicious omelette as well as the Classic Combo which features two eggs any style and your choice of sausage or bacon. Or, try our Breakfast Brussels; caramelized Brussels sprouts topped with a creamy mushroom ragu and two sunny-side up eggs. Yum!

5. The Neighborhood

Long Island City is a wonderful neighborhood. Turn brunch at Woodbines into a day out by seeing some of the local sights.  Gantry Plaza State Park is just around the corner with its stunning views of the skyline. You can even ride the ferry to Williamsburg or visit MOMA’s PS1 museum. The options are truly endless and there’s no better way to finish up (or kick off) sightseeing than with a great meal and a couple of drinks!
