With 2016 finally drawing to a close, all eyes look ahead to a new year and a fresh start. While Manhattan has been the traditional spot for New Year’s Eve celebrations, just one stop away on the train lies a neighborhood we think is worth your consideration: Long Island City. You Can Avoid the Crowds
If you’re looking for a New Year’s celebration that’s a little less hectic, LIC is the perfect spot. At Woodbines we’ll be celebrating with an optional open bar! Just $50 ($60 at the door) gets you a top shelf open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres from 9PM to 1AM, as well as a champagne toast at midnight.
We’ll also have an optional pre-fixe dinner from 4PM on with three full courses for just $40!
We are located just three blocks from the 7 train at the Vernon/Jackson stop and a short walk from the E, M, G, and 7 trains at Court Square.
Brunch Like You Mean It
At Woodbines we’ll be serving our amazing brunch menu both December 31st and New Years Day from 11AM to 4PM. Enjoy your favorites like French Toast, Omelets, and Irish Breakfast as well as some new classics like our delicious Chorizo Scramble!
We know brunch would be nothing without booze. Come have a Bloody Mary or mimosa for $6 and get each refill for just $3!
Stunning Views
Long Island City has some of the most beautiful views of Manhattan you can find. Take a walk along the water in Gantry Plaza State Park before or after midnight for a truly breathtaking sight you won’t get elsewhere.

Long Island City has luxurious hotels without the city prices. Check out the trendy Z NYC and Ravel hotels or the beautiful Wyndham Garden. Each one has a complimentary local shuttle service that can take you right to Woodbines!
