St. Patrick’s Day at Your Favorite Irish Pub in Long Island City

Hey Long Island City! It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day. And you know what that means - time to drink a little too much whiskey, paint a three-leaf clover on your face, and eat some corned beef and cabbage. This year St. Paddy’s is extra special for two reasons: It’s on a Friday AND we’ll be celebrating at Woodbines with two events! Read on for what we’re planning...

The Main Event

Woodbines will be running St. Patrick’s Day food and drink specials ALL DAY on Friday March 17th. We open at 11AM and will keep the party going all night!  For food we’ll have all your Irish favorites: Corned Beef and Cabbage, Bangers and Mash, Guinness Stew, and Cocktail Sausages. Everything will be available for delivery as well. Call us at 718. 361.8488 or check us out on GrubHub and Seamless.

**Of course we’ll still have our $10 Lunch Special from 11AM-3PM. Get a Bacon Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, or Chicken Caesar Salad for just $10 and add a 10 oz. select draft beer for $2.

On the drinks menu will be copious amounts of Guinness on tap including Guinness Blonde, just for the occasion. We’ll also have Magners Cider on draft… snakebites anyone? For specials come have the Short and Stout featuring a 20 oz. pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson Caskmates or the Absolut Lime Mule (in case you need a break from all that beer).

The Prelude

For everyone who just can’t wait to get the party started, we’ll be hosting Guinness on Tuesday, March 14th for a glass etching event. Come by Woodbines from 5:30 to 7:30 and get a free glass personalized with the message of your choice and enjoy a pint of Guinness or Guinness Blonde on us!

How to Get to Us

We’re the perfect Irish pub for those who want to celebrate, but avoid the insane crowds of people clamoring for green beer.

Woodbines is conveniently located just three blocks from the 7 train at the Vernon Jackson stop and a short walk from the E, M, G, and 7 trains at Court Square. If you’re in town for the day watching the parade, you can easily hop on the subway right from the route on 5th Avenue and be out to Long Island City in minutes.

Stay in the Neighborhood

LIC has plenty of great hotels with easy access into Manhattan. Check out the ultra-comfortable Wyndham Garden, the luxurious Z Hotel, or the trendy Ravel Hotel. There’s also so much to do if you’re planning to make a weekend out of it. Visit Gantry Plaza Park or MoMa PS1 and then swing by for one of our two happy hours! $5 select drafts, house wines, and well liquors from 4-8 and again from 11-close.
